We sat down with Dante to talk about some of his other career highlights, personal reflections, and why pocstock’s mission speaks to him.

Let’s just say… he dropped some gems on us.

Q&A with Dante

Q: Let’s start with a moment you’re especially proud of in your career.

A: A full circle moment for me was when Tom went on and created Tom Ford and he exited out of that company. He sent letters to a specific group of folks that impacted his career, and I was one of those people.

So I think that our journey is about not only the work that we do, but our life’s journey is about the people that we impact and to know that I was a part of impacting someone who went on to impact so many other people is definitely a proud moment, both professionally and personally.

Q: What are you working on now that excites you?

A: Something I’m incredibly proud of right now is the shift happening in music. Coming from the music industry, playing a key role in the marriage of music and video games has been deeply meaningful for me. Our studio led some of the top five largest music collaborations in the gaming space.

We built this from the ground up, and it’s grown into one of the largest collaborative performance platforms where music and gaming intersect. I often say I’m a bit of a marriage counselor, bringing those two worlds together. Some of the biggest performance events, reaching 20 to 30 million people, have come out of our studio.

Q: So, let’s bring it to pocstock. What drew you to us? What made you want to get involved?

A: Funny enough, I did something very similar in the gaming world, I helped build ESPAT, the largest image repository in the video game industry. We took it all the way, from infancy to exit.

So, coming into pocstock, and doing it again in a space I care deeply about, just makes sense. I’m passionate about storytelling. Images tell stories, and we’ve always said a photo is worth a thousand words.

But now, with AI? That same photo is worth so much more. And being part of that evolution, with pocstock, is something I’m really excited about.

Q: How would you describe the value that you expect to bring as an advisor?

A: I’ve recognized the specific areas where pocstock needs support to reach its next level of growth, and those happen to be the very spaces I operate in every day. So, for me, it wasn’t about where pocstock has been, but about where it’s going. And where it’s going aligns directly with my expertise. That’s why this opportunity made perfect sense.

For us to say, “Hey, listen, where you’re going is where I already am. Let’s make sure we can expedite that movement.

Something Rick Ross said that always stuck with me is, “I don’t want to move fast. I want to move correctly.” pocstock is looking to move correctly, and I’m here to help them elevate and do just that in the spaces I know best.

Q: What’s your vision for the future?

A: It’s AI. When you ask about the vision for the future, that’s it. It’s about making sure we’re present in the spaces we’ve so often been excluded from, no matter the political or social climate.

The key is accurate representation. Our people need to be seen in every room and every space, accurately. What pocstock is doing with tagging, metadata, and meta-tagging is unlike anything else out there. It’s going to ensure we’re properly represented.

Q: Last question, and this one’s a little personal, what advice would you give to someone early in their creative career?

A: Don’t fall in love with someone else’s destination. Fall in love with your own journey.

I thought fashion was the goal. Then I thought it was music. But those were just pieces of a bigger puzzle. Now, I’m bringing both into the world of gaming and tech. Every experience gave me something I needed, and I’m still figuring out what’s next. That’s the beauty of it.

Your plan might just be a pit stop for something even bigger.

Q: What are some of the quotes you live by or want others to hear?

A: I always share these quotes as a reminder to never give up:

Today will be difficult.  Tomorrow will be even harder.  But the day after will be beautiful.  Just make sure you don’t quit tomorrow.

Wouldn't it be a shame if God's intent was for you to hear ten "No's" before reaching your "Yes", and you quit on the ninth "No". You stopped just before He could bless you on the eleventh opportunity. That eleventh moment could be the "Yes" that forever changes your life.
